Writing through life’s darkest moments is one of the most rewarding parts of the process. It allows me to create what feels impossible—hope, options, even light—when the world seems to have taken them away. I start with the raw truth: the heaviness, the tears, the brokenness I feel in the moment. But I don’t stop there. I give myself permission to craft a happier ending, or at least a space where healing can begin.

Through writing, I remind myself that I am the author of my story. I refuse to let it become a tragedy. Even when life feels too heavy, writing gives me the certainty that I can rewrite the ending. I can dig myself out, one word at a time.

This is why I write: to better myself, and in doing so, to make the world just a little better, too.
